Job qualifications

  • Minimum 2-year Technical Mechanical degree preferred; Employer will also train individuals not completing their degree program
  • Solid Ag / Farm Equipment operations experience
  • Technical knowledge / understanding of electrical systems, hydraulics and hydraulic drive systems on self-propelled equipment
  • Willingness to travel to customer locations, primarily within a 100-mile radius of service center
  • Self-directed and customer service-focused
  • Great communication skills
  • Analytical, problem-solving skills
  • Flexible work attitude with ability to react quickly to rapidly changing situations
  • Valid driver license with clean driving record

Job descriptions

We are seeking several Field Service Engineers for a new line of Ag Equipment entering the U.S. market space. Field Service Engineers to be located just west of Lincoln, NE; northeastern CO/western NE; and central IA. Your focus will be on After-Sales Service where employer will offer factory support directly to the end-user. The three areas to be covered will be a 100-mile radius of Seward, Nebraska; another area radiating out of the Sterling, CO or the Bridgeport, NE area; and another radiating out from central IA. The intent of employer is to offer maximum service to customers without dealers in between. In this role, you will also have opportunities to travel abroad to visit global headquarters for initial and on-going training and for off-season work opportunities, if you so choose.

Primary responsabilities to include

  • Making proactive appointments and calling on customers after-sale
  • Performing maintenance and repair service work on Ag Equipment at one of company service shops or on-site with customers
  • Providing world-class technical product support / customer support
  • Resolving product and performance issues
  • Communicating with headquarters on appropriate issues and solutions
  • Analyzing / Troubleshooting / Reporting malfunctions, incidents, and service requests/questions from customers
  • Explaining complex, technical issues to customers in an understandable manner
  • Creating service reports in a timely manner
  • Following up with identified actions while providing customers with progress feedback
