Role

Every farmer and contractor has its own daily challenge to achieve the highest possible return at the lowest cost. On a more global level, we know there is sufficient capacity to produce enough food to feed everyone adequately, despite the fact that the world population is predicted to increase to 10 billion by 2050. Instead of cultivating móre land, we should be increasing the food production on existing farmland while at the same time, lower our footprint. That’s exactly the business Agrifac is in!

As our Sales Manager Southern Europe you contribute to this daily challenge with a professional and enthusiastic attitude with the aim of increasing the international market share. Your main focus is the French market, to a lesser degree you work on Sales in Spain, Portugal and Northern Italy. You are an ambassador of the company and make a representative and positive impression. In addition, you are constantly looking for new sales leads and challenges. You work very independent and autonomous. You love nothing more than the thrill of the chase and you want to sell as many leads and close sales as possible. We are looking for a candidate living in the Netherlands with a good knowledge of the French agribusiness and language or you live in France and are willing to travel frequently to our Agrifac location in Steenwijk.

Responsibilities

  • Establishing, developing and maintaining business relationships with current customers and prospective customers in the region to generate new business for the organization’s products/services
  • Analyzing the territory/market’s potential and determines the value of existing and prospective customers value to the organization
  • Taking responsibility for maximizing the sales results
  • Continuous coordination between various departments of the organization(s) to increase sales. You get this done in a pleasant and effective manner, with the right balance between determination and good stakeholder management
  • Customer satisfaction is essential for Agrifac. Therefore we want you to maintain an excellent relationship with our current customers
  • Working with dealers and key customers or prospects. Varying by country from dealer management and development (France, Spain and Portugal) to setting up a dealer network (Northern Italy)
  • Representing Agrifac at exhibitions

Requirements & competences

  • A degree in higher professional education
  • At least 5 -10 years of experience in a comparable sales function
  • Extensive experience in selling machinery for the agriculture and/or for growing  vegetables and fruit
  • A proven track record of sales achievements
  • Fluency in written and spoken French and English, mastering another Southern European language is a plus
  • Willing to travel around France (30% of your time) and to other Southern European countries
