Meet Agrifac’s newest Service technician, Reece Nicholson!!
At 21, Reece is now the youngest team member of Agrifac Australia, and we’re excited to have him on board!
Originally from Katanning, Western Australia, Reece has grown up surrounded by the agriculture industry. Throughout High School he worked on a family friend’s farm during harvest and he undertook work experience at a machinery dealership which led to an apprenticeship.
He’s also grown up with a key member of the Agrifac team, WA Territory Manager Matty Durack!
“I was looking to grow as a mechanic and explore my options, and after seeing how Matty has grown over the last five years in his position I was keen for a similar path,” reflects Reece. “Coming from Katanning, I’ve seen firsthand how much the Agrifac name has grown in just the last few years. With this position, I saw a rare opportunity for me to grow with a top-quality brand.”
In his previous job, Reece found that he learnt best when relying on himself and thinking on his feet. This is an element he’s keen to explore further with Agrifac – especially with the extensive travel opportunities.
“I’d never been to Esperance before, and within the first week of working for Agrifac I got to travel down there to meet customers and work on their machines. I’m excited to keep meeting new people in this role and see more of the country.”
Agrifac: A growing company
Reece has been working as Agrifac’s Service Technician for the Great Southern region for a little over a month now, and he says he’s loving everything so far. “It’s very different coming from a dealership in town where all the team are in one location, but the Agrifac team have really good communication across the country – even though we’re spread so far apart, it feels like they’re just next-door. Everyone picks up the phone.
“I see Agrifac as a growing company, and I’m excited to grow with them. I’m eager to get to know the product better, grow as a mechanic and lean into other positions as the years flow on.” Reece says he believes the ongoing advancements and improvements to machine models is what sets Agrifac apart from the rest.
“Even though I’ve only been here for about a month, I can already see how advanced Agrifac’s spray technology is. With the Endurance I and Endurance II, I can see the progress in the sprayers and the improvements that benefit Australian growers.”
Spare time
An avid sport lover, he plays footy in the winter and basketball in the summer. Coming from a country town, getting involved in sport is how he and community members love to get social.
“I also love going to Bremer Bay on my time off to fish, swim and 4WD with mates. Sometimes I go up to Perth to catch up with family and friends.”

Reece recently flew down to Adelaide for the annual Agrifac meeting where he met the rest of the sales and service team.
