Agrifac UK is a global manufacturer of crop protection technology leading the way with innovation to enable our customers to feed the world. Due to substantial expansion in the UK market, we are actively looking for a committed Parts Assistant to join our team on a full-time, temporary basis, with the potential for a permanent position.

Under the guidance of our Parts Managers, you will play a pivotal role in our busy parts team based in March, Cambridgeshire. Your primary focus will be delivering exceptional customer service to both internal and external customers. From identifying components to liaising with technicians and suppliers, your daily tasks will ensure seamless operations.

You will collaborate closely with the service department, a cohesive and supportive team genuinely dedicated to assisting and satisfying our customers to the fullest extent. We all share the belief that success is achievable only through cohesive teamwork.

Main duties expected include, but are not limited to:

  • Identifying correct parts to meet customer needs using technical drawings and online parts ordering systems
  • Collaborating with in-house technicians and partners to fulfil parts requirements
  • Placing orders for parts with suppliers
  • Receiving incoming parts and ensuring accuracy and quantity conformity
  • Keeping customers and partners informed about shortages and following up on pending orders
  • Assisting with periodic stock taking activities
  • Setting up parts quotes

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications/experience

Essential:

  • Strong interpersonal skills, catering to a diverse clientele
  • Good communication skills across various platforms; face to face, email, telephone
  • Ability to function effectively both as part of a team and independently
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment, adept at handling pressure during peak periods
  • Attention to detail, particularly in numerical accuracy
  • Proficient in general computer skills
  • Has a hands-on mentality

Desirable:

  • Previous experience within parts or sales of a technical dealership or related industries
  • Experience in using Parts & Inventory Management software / ERP system
  • Affinity for Agriculture would be beneficial
  • Affinity/interest in technology

Basic working hours between 8am – 5pm, Monday – Friday. Additional hours may be required at peak times.
